A Level tuition in Pakistan is quoted per subject and typically costs PKR 20,000–38,000 per subject per month one-to-one, or PKR 12,000–18,000 per subject in a batch of 10–20 students. Al Noor Tuition provides AS and A2 specialists in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Accounting, at home or online across Pakistan.
A Level is where general tutoring stops working. The content is deep enough that a tutor who is merely good at school science will be out of their depth by the second term of A2.
Every A Level tutor we place is a specialist in that one subject, and most have taught it for years to the same board your child sits.
Cambridge International and Edexcel, AS and A2.
Rarely more content. Almost always precision: the exact phrasing an examiner rewards, the working shown rather than assumed, the planning paper answered to the structure the scheme expects.
This is the least self-teachable part of A Level, and it is where a specialist tutor earns their fee. It is also why we insist on tutors who have actually marked to these schemes rather than simply studied the subject.
A Level tuition rarely stops at the syllabus. Our tutors regularly advise on subject combinations for medicine and engineering, on the grades specific universities in Pakistan and abroad actually require, and on how an AS result should change the A2 strategy.
AS is the first year and A2 the second, and they are assessed differently enough that students who coast through AS are regularly caught out. AS rewards accurate recall and clean method. A2 adds synthesis — questions that span two topics, extended responses, and planning or data-analysis papers that cannot be answered by remembering.
The practical consequence is that an AS grade is a weak predictor of an A2 grade on its own. What predicts A2 is whether the student can apply the AS content to something they have not seen before, which is exactly what our tutors test for in the first few lessons.
AS results also arrive in time to change the plan. A weak AS in one subject is worth acting on immediately — either by resitting it alongside A2 or by redistributing effort — and that decision is much better made in August than in March.
As with O Level, A Level results are converted by IBCC — into FSc (HSSC) marks — and admission forms in Pakistan expect the certificate. For FSc (HSSC) equivalence, IBCC asks for three relevant A Levels, each at grade E or above: Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Pre-Medical; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for Pre-Engineering; any three elective subjects for Humanities.
Subject requirements are strict for the competitive degrees: medicine expects Biology, Chemistry and Physics; engineering expects Maths, Physics and Chemistry. A subject combination that omits one of these can close a degree off entirely, whatever the grades, and it cannot be fixed at application time.
IBCC converts each grade to marks on a fixed table — A 85, B 75, C 65, D 55, E 45 — and an A* is worth above 90, at a figure IBCC sets for each subject and exam session. Our IBCC equivalence guide has the full tables and how to apply.
Entry tests are separate from A Level and are examined differently: PMDC's MDCAT, for one, is 180 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours with no negative marking. Students aiming at MDCAT or ECAT should be preparing for those alongside A2 rather than after it — see our MDCAT preparation guide.
One-to-one runs PKR 20,000–38,000 per subject per month. Our A Level batches of 10–20 students are PKR 12,000–18,000 per subject and include the same recordings, tests and reports. The estimator on our pricing page will narrow it to your subject count and schedule.
These guides cover the named Cambridge syllabuses. Check the subject code and assessment year, then use the paper overview and learning plan to discuss your needs with a tutor.

Six things included with every online student, at no extra cost.
Real lessons with a real teacher at a fixed time — whiteboard, screen sharing and your child asking questions out loud, not a recorded video they watch alone.
Ask and we record your classes free of charge, so a missed lesson is not a lost lesson, and revision before a test means rewatching the explanation that worked the first time.
Recording is on by default and can be turned off on request.
Attendance, topics covered, test scores and the teacher’s own notes — so you know how it is going without having to ask every week.
Timed online papers built from a bank of thousands of syllabus questions, marked automatically, with worked explanations for every answer.
Test results are grouped by topic, so "he is weak in Chemistry" becomes "he is losing marks on mole calculations" — and the next few lessons target exactly that.
Hundreds of the same questions our students sit, published free with full explanations. Try the material before you pay for anything.
Try them now →PKR 20,000–38,000 per subject per month one-to-one, or PKR 12,000–18,000 per subject in a batch. A Level is always quoted per subject.
Yes, though the pool is small and we recommend booking early in the year. Online is usually the fastest route to a genuine Further Maths specialist.
For A Level, usually more so — subject specialists are scarce and online removes the geographic limit entirely. Lessons can be recorded free on request, which matters when you are revising a derivation weeks later.
Yes. Retake preparation is a different task from first-time teaching, focused on the specific papers and topics where marks were lost, and our tutors plan it from the actual result breakdown.
AS is the first year and A2 the second. AS rewards accurate recall and clean method; A2 adds synthesis — questions spanning two topics, extended responses, and planning or data-analysis papers. Because of that difference, an AS grade on its own is a weak predictor of an A2 grade.
Three. A fourth A Level is not needed for equivalence; take one only when it keeps a specific degree open and will not pull down the other three.
IBCC asks for three A Levels that match your FSc group: Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Pre-Medical; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for Pre-Engineering; any three electives for Humanities. Urdu, Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies belong to the O Level requirement, for Matric equivalence.
Medicine expects Biology, Chemistry and Physics; engineering expects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. IBCC equivalence and university admission both check the combination, not only the grades, so a missing subject can close a degree off regardless of how well you did in the others.
Cambridge runs May/June and October/November series, with results in August and January respectively. AS results arriving in August are the moment to decide whether to resit a subject alongside A2, which is a much better decision to take then than in the spring.
