Online Tutoring in Europe

Most families who find us in Europe are Pakistani, and want two things at once: steady support in maths, the sciences or English, and a way for their children to keep up Urdu, Islamic Studies or Quran recitation. We teach both, with the same tutor pool and the same verification.

Most of the continent is on Central European Time, 4 hours behind Pakistan in winter and 3 hours behind from late March to late October. Ireland and Portugal are an hour further back; Greece an hour closer. A lesson at 9pm in Pakistan is 5pm in Milan, Barcelona, Berlin or Oslo in winter, 6pm in summer. Lessons run in Al Noor Live, our own online classroom, where everyone who joins is logged in the attendance record and a class cannot be cut short. Tutors set their own rates for students outside Pakistan, typically USD 9–30 an hour. Male and female tutors are available on request, and the first class is free so you can meet the tutor before committing.

Fees and paying from Europe

Tutors set their own rates for students outside Pakistan — typically USD 9–30 an hour, depending on the subject, the level and the tutor's experience. That is a fraction of what a private tutor charges locally, because the tutor is paid a good Pakistani wage rather than a EUR one. See how it compares with UK and US tutor rates.

The office confirms the exact rate, the schedule and the payment details — usually an international bank transfer to our account in Pakistan — before regular classes begin, so nothing is charged until the plan is agreed. The first class is free in any case, and if the tutor is not the right fit we change them at no cost.

If your bank charges for each international transfer, tell us: most families abroad pay monthly rather than weekly for exactly that reason, and we set the billing around it.

How we keep online lessons honest

One-to-one stays one-to-one: no other student is ever added to a slot you booked for your child.
A class runs for the time you paid for — the classroom will not let a tutor end it early.
Everyone who joins an Al Noor Live class is logged by name in its attendance record, and the office can sit in on any lesson.
Messages, fees and missed lessons stay on Al Noor, so there is a record for both sides if anything is disputed.

Online Tutoring in Europe — FAQs

Which European countries do you teach in?

Anywhere in Europe, online — Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Greece, Ireland, Portugal and beyond. The time difference for each is on this page. We do not send tutors to homes outside Pakistan.

My child is in a local school, taught in Italian or Spanish. Can you still help?

Yes. Maths and science are the same subject in any language, and a tutor who explains them in English or Urdu often unlocks what a child half-understood in class. We also teach English, Urdu, Islamic Studies and Quran. Cambridge IGCSE and A Level are sat in the May–June and October–November series wherever the school is.

How does the time difference work?

Most of the continent is on Central European Time, 4 hours behind Pakistan in winter and 3 hours behind from late March to late October. Ireland and Portugal are an hour further back; Greece an hour closer. A lesson at 9pm in Pakistan is 5pm in Milan, Barcelona, Berlin or Oslo in winter, 6pm in summer. You choose the days and times; we match a tutor who is genuinely free then.

Is a one-to-one class really one-to-one?

Yes. A one-to-one class is only your child and the tutor, for the full time you booked — no other student is ever added to the slot. Everyone who joins an Al Noor Live class is logged by name in its attendance record, a class cannot be ended before its booked time, and the office can sit in on any lesson.

Can I learn the local language myself?

Al Noor Languages teaches German, French and Spanish from the alphabet to B1, with Roman and Urdu pronunciation guides, free to start at /languages/.

How much does it cost, and how do we pay from Europe?

Tutors set their own rates for students outside Pakistan, typically USD 9–30 an hour, depending on the subject, the level and the tutor's experience. The office confirms the exact rate, the schedule and the payment details — usually an international bank transfer to our account in Pakistan — before regular classes begin, and the first class is free.
