About the test

PTE Academic is taken on a computer at a test centre and lasts about two hours, in three parts: Speaking & Writing (about 55–70 minutes), Reading (about 30 minutes) and Listening (about 30–45 minutes). Every answer is scored by computer. You receive an overall score from 10 to 90 and a score from 10 to 90 for each of Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Many tasks are integrated, so one answer counts towards two skills.
