Al Noor Tuition ("we", "our", or "us") provides the Al Noor Tuition website and the Al Noor LMS Android and iOS applications. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it is protected, and the choices available to students, parents, teachers, managers, and administrators.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, profile details, educational requirements, tutor preferences, course enrolment information, messages, assignments, quiz responses, uploaded documents, attendance, grades, payment references or proofs, and support requests.
The mobile apps may also process limited device and technical information needed to operate securely, such as app version, operating system, network status, notification subscription identifiers, crash or diagnostic information, and browser or device characteristics. Camera, microphone, photos, or files are accessed only when you choose a feature that needs them, such as a live class or an upload.
How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate accounts; deliver courses, live classes, tutoring, assessments, communications, and progress reporting; match families with suitable tutors; verify teachers and payments; provide notifications and support; maintain safety and academic records; prevent abuse; improve reliability; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing and Service Providers
Information is shared only where needed to provide the service—for example with the assigned teacher, linked parent or student, authorised Al Noor operations staff, or infrastructure providers that host authentication, databases, files, email, analytics, notifications, and application delivery. Private contact details and documents are not published unless a user explicitly enables a public tutor profile field.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
On the public website, analytics and advertising storage is controlled by our consent banner. If consent is declined, advertising and analytics cookies are not written. We may use:
- Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate visits, popular pages, performance, and general region.
- Our own first-party analytics for traffic and performance measurement. A random visit and visitor identifier is kept in your browser's local storage — no third party receives it, and it is never linked to your name or contact details.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure advertising results. Personal identifiers sent for matching are normalised and hashed where supported.
The authenticated LMS and native companion apps are designed primarily for service delivery. Store privacy disclosures will reflect the data actually collected by the submitted app version.
Notifications
Users may enable in-app, email, web, or native device notifications for course activity, tuition quotations, live classes, grades, messages, reminders, and operational alerts. Device notification permission can be withdrawn in the LMS profile or operating-system settings.
Retention and Security
We retain information only for as long as needed for active services, academic continuity, safeguarding, security, fraud prevention, finance, dispute handling, and legal requirements. We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS transport, private storage, role-based permissions, and operational review to protect data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children and Linked Accounts
Student accounts may be created or managed with a parent, guardian, school, or authorised administrator. Parents should supervise children's use and contact us if account information is inaccurate or was provided without appropriate authority.
Your Choices and Account Deletion
You may update profile information and notification preferences from the LMS. You may also request permanent deletion of your account and eligible associated personal data from the in-app Account Settings path or from our public deletion page, including after uninstalling the app. We verify identity and normally complete eligible deletion within 7 days. Certain safeguarding, security, fraud-prevention, financial, or legally required records may be retained and restricted rather than deleted.
