Linking words
og, men, for and så join two main clauses and leave the word order alone: Jeg er trøtt, men jeg må jobbe. Words like derfor, likevel and dessuten count as the first element, so the verb comes next: Jeg er trøtt. Derfor legger jeg meg tidlig.
