Transport og veibeskrivelse (getting around)

Buses, trams and trains, buying a ticket, asking the way, and the imperative: Gå rett fram!

15 minutes · A free lesson from A1: Første steg (first steps) · Roman and Urdu pronunciation guides and English meanings are shown under each phrase

In the cities you travel by buss, trikk (tram), T-bane (metro) or tog (train). In Oslo you buy tickets in the Ruter app, and for trains across the country in the Vy or Entur app. A ticket is valid for a set time, and inspectors check it on board: travelling without one costs a fine.
