NAV is the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration: it helps people find work and pays out many benefits. If you are new in Norway, NAV or your local council may offer you arbeidspraksis, a work placement where you practise a job and your Norwegian at a real workplace. Many refugees take part in the introduksjonsprogrammet, which combines Norwegian, social studies and work or education.
