The seasons are vinter, vår (spring), sommer and høst (autumn). In the north of Norway the sun does not set for weeks in summer, the midnattssol, and in midwinter it does not rise, the mørketid. Talking about the weather is how many Norwegians start a conversation: at the bus stop, at work, in a shop.

vårSay vohrوورMeans: our (with an en or ei word)

Both da and når mean "when". Use da for one event in the past: Da jeg kom til Norge, snakket jeg ikke norsk. Use når for the present and the future, and for things that happened again and again: Når det regner, tar jeg bussen. · Når det snødde, gikk vi på ski.
